It's so true. I've been so sleep-deprived with my new baby. But, the minute somebody offers to do the night shift and give me a break, I miss him. Fiona kept me up all night, her first night and then they came to get her for her hearing test at about 3am. I practically started crying and the nurse asked what was wrong. I explained how she had been torturing me the entire night and we had just fallen asleep. She offered to keep her for a bit after the test. I profusely thanked her and then fell asleep. She could've been anyone!! I just didn't care at the time. How sad is that? <em>I can soooo relate! My 3rd daughter had colic from the first minute she was born! The nurses finally came in (maybe it was 3am, like you! must be the baby "witching hour" :) ) and I knew my sanity depended on them just taking her away!
