12 Inches to Locks of Love

My 10yo daughter (11 on Monday!) has been growing out her hair for the past two years in order to donate to Locks of Love.  She’s had a few friends who have done it, and she participated in a Relay for Life with me where they had a booth set up to collect hair donations on site.  My daughter has the most gorgeous honey/wheat colored hair, mostly straight with a bit of natural wave, strong and very thick; we’ve always been positive that whoever receives her hair will be very grateful.

Here are some pictures and a video of my very courageous girl and her big day.

  1. Her new style is adorable. Yeah for her being so courageous! My DD7 just donated her waist length locks as well several weeks ago. I think it was a bigger deal for me than for her.

  8. Tell Abby I think she’s great. I still have a few months to go before my hair will be long enough, but I hope to do it before the baby is born!
